Status codes
The code is the shared word. Everyone from the committee to the vendor list uses the same fourteen. Deferred means the committee kicked the deal to the next meeting for better terms. It is a live deal, not a dead one.
Planning weights
Every weighted number on this dashboard rests on these six numbers and nothing else. They are assumptions Kirsten sets by hand, held in one file, and they are not a prediction the system computed. Change one and every weighted figure moves with it.
Numbering
Location numbers are five digits: a two-digit state code (the national ANSI/FIPS standard) plus a three-digit store sequence. The number is assigned at signing and travels with the location forever. It is stored without the hyphen and shown with one.
Reading the matrix
Rows are stage groups; open one to see the individual status codes underneath. Columns are quarters by default on a rolling 12-quarter window, or months on a rolling 36-period window if you switch. A number in a cell is how many deals sit at that stage targeting that period. Already-open stores are not in the matrix, they are in the directory.
Change requests
Kirsten is the only editor, by design. One person editing is what keeps this system trustworthy. Every card carries a Propose a change action that hands you a written proposal and opens that location's page in Notion, so the request lands as a comment on the record instead of in a text message.
